Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective

Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective is a Chicago based Soul band comprised of ten members, lead by the beautiful, songwriter and vocal powerhouse,Aniba Hotep. Her soulful southern tones are harmonized by two equally beautiful songbirds by the names of Neri Ma’at and Caress Shaunta. These melodious voices would need nothing short of the best rhythm section one could find. This is so perfectly done with Louis Wells on keyboards, Will Baggett on bass, Aum Mu Ra-El on lead guitar and Anthony Reid on drums.

Just when you thought you were having the perfect soul experience, Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective includes a horn section reminiscent of Earth, Wind & Fire, with Donnell Dagley on trombone, Wallace Wilbourn on alto sax, and Leon Q. Allen on trumpet and flugelhorn. Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective performed to a packed house of adoring fans on The House Of Blues’ back porch stage. They had such an amazing performance that they were offered the chance to open for the multi-platinum artists, Mint Condition, where they shined, showing they were ready for the big leagues performing for 45 minutes to a crowd of nearly 2,000.people.

They have continued to light a fire back into soul music with more performances with artists such as Carl Thomas, Gerald Alston of the Manhattans, The Drifters, and Cynda Williams of Spike Lee’s Mo Betta Blues. They have worked collectively and separately with greats such as Julie Dexter, Raphael Saadiq, YahZarah, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal and many more. Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective have even launched their own concert series called The “All Souled Out” Concert Series. Pulling from staunch fans of theirs, Aniba Hotep &
The Sol Collecive have successfully become their own promoter, booking agent, marketer and more, driving thousands out to their shows. They have steadily performed in places such as the Steppenwolf Theater, Omni Hotel for Real Men Cook, Jane Adams Hull House at the McCormick Place, The Harold Washington Cultural Center and The Green Dolphin. Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective are currently working on their much anticipated album called “The Sol-ution”. Their on and offline fan base of thousands including greats such as Herb Kent, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Rosie Gaines and more are all waiting for a chance to hear what they believe is going to be the return of the authentic soul bands of old.

When asked, Aniba Hotep & The Sol Collective say that they guarantee that when their CD is released, it will be an instant classic, giving the music industry the much needed boost the world has been waiting for. With vocal comparisons to Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Lauryn Hill, and Lalah Hathaway and musical comparisons to Rose Royce, Earth ,Wind and Fire, Mint condition and Maze all packaged with millennium flavor, their aspirations are more than assured.
