JACOB H. CARRUTHERS FOR INNER CITY STUDIES

Fyremouff

Blessed with the opportunities to perform with Chicago's internationally renowned jazz trumpeter Corey Wilkes, share the stage with Boots Riley of The Coup and open for soul vocalist Jaguar Wright, spoken word artist FyreMouff continuously works hard to expand her horizons. She is the product of a father from Hermandale, MO and a mother from Guyana, South America. The bilingual (English/Spanish) poet was raised in the Rosemoor community on the city's far south side where she still resides. FyreMouff is a 1988 graduate of Hyde Park Career Academy and earned a B.A. In English from the University of IL at Chicago in 1994.
