Taalib-Din Ziyad

Taalib-Din Ziyad is a vocalist, flutist, composer and arranger. He began his musical career at an early age singing in the churcTaalib-Din Ziyad is a vocalist, flutist, composer and arranger. He began his musical career at an early age singing in the church. Taalib-Din studied under the coaching of Dr. Lena McLin and classical voice at Roosevelt University School of Music.

He has taught voice in the Chicago City Colleges' Continuing Education Department. Taalib-Din presently teaches at the AACM School of Music and gives private lessons.

Taalib-Din has performed with such notable artists as Rita Warford, Ann Ward, Ari Brown, Mwata Bowden, Edward Wilkerson, Ernest Dawkins and many other excellent musicians. He received numerous commendations from the Chicago Public Schools performing with t he Rhythm Testament Trio , under the direction of percussionist Carlos Pride.

Taalib-Din has recently formed his own group, The 7th Sphere. The trio consists of Carlos Pride on percussion; Harrison Bankhead, bass; and Taalib-Din Ziyad on flute and vocals.h. Taalib-Din studied under the coaching of Dr. Lena McLin and classical voice at Roosevelt University School of Music.

He has taught voice in the Chicago City Colleges' Continuing Education Department. Taalib-Din presently teaches at the AACM School of Music and gives private lessons.
